Investigation of deformation behaviour of embankments on improved soft clay by means of centrifuge and numerical modelling


This doctoral project focuses on the investigation of ground improvement measures in soft clay to improve the consolidation characteristics and bearing capacity of the clay. In particular, gravel columns and geosynthetic base reinforcement are analysed by means of centrifuge and numerical modelling.
